Electro Magnetic Field Therapy

My experience: The Magical KLOUD

Sido relaxing on the Centropix KLOUD

I first came across the Magical Mat in the autumn of 2024. We visited a dear old friend (S, now 85 years old) in Zutphen to catch up, when he told me about his adventure with what he called a special electromagnetic mat he'd bought. This mat turned out to be a well-known name in equestrian sport for decades already, but he'd never heard of it before. I listened closely, because I understood something remarkable had happened to him. I myself had never heard of this ("Bemer") mat either.

S told me about the wonderfully positive experiences he'd since had with the mat. In equestrian sport, it turned out — after a little digging around — the Bemer mat had a big name. Valuable sport horses — racehorses, dressage horses and show jumpers alike — can be seen at equestrian events wearing this magical mat, said to bring them relaxation, energy, wellbeing and comfort, both physiologically and mentally. Only years later did people start experimenting with this mat in the human domain.

S had suffered for a long time from numbness caused by vascular problems in his lower legs and feet. The familiar tap of the doctor's little hammer on the kneecap, which usually sends the lower leg shooting upward, no longer had any effect on S at all. The doctor had told him there are five known causes of this, including diabetes and CIAP (Chronic Idiopathic Axonal Polyneuropathy). The latter turned out to be the case for S.

People with CIAP often have pain, cold feet, balance problems and fatigue. The symptoms usually get worse slowly. At first there are mainly problems with sensation in the feet, later in the hands too. In S's case, CIAP was said to be the reason both the motor nerves and sensory nerves in his arms and legs no longer worked properly. This caused unpleasant tingling and pain. The muscles also worked less well as a result. The condition is permanent and slowly worsens. Symptoms usually start around the age of 55 — a far from rosy prospect for my friend, who has by now passed eighty.

But now the good news: S takes me to his study and shows me his mat.

"I lie on my mat for 8 minutes in the morning, 20 minutes in the middle of the day, and 8 minutes again in the evening. Although there's officially no medical solution for CIAP, my balance problems have greatly reduced — my prostate issues too, for that matter (measurable in PSA values: down from 18 to 10). My blood pressure has gone from too high to average values now. Within a year! Athletes use the mat after exertion to recover faster. I don't think it's just in my head, because the mat is used extensively in equestrian sport, where a lot of money is spent keeping valuable horses healthy and fit, and where their performance is monitored in every possible way. My physiotherapist has now bought one too."

That's my friend S's story — and it's what got me interested from that moment on. I'm generally strongly interested in entrepreneurs and innovators who stumble upon remarkable discoveries — and even more so when I subsequently find out how much resistance they usually face from the establishment. This case was no exception. Research taught me this involved a Liechtenstein family of entrepreneurs who had put an actual scientist, namely Prof. Dr. Wolf A. Kafka, to work generating Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field frequencies (very low voltages) in the aforementioned mat, which could have a beneficial effect on the bodies of animals (initially) and now also of humans.

Further research told me that differences of opinion had arisen within the family over product development and marketing, which resulted in that same Prof. Kafka developing a new and highly advanced mat for a number of family members, which was then brought to market under the brand name "Centropix KLOUD". I regard the Centropix KLOUD as a further development. In short, after ample research and deliberation, I bought the KLOUD for my own use — and afterwards, out of pure enthusiasm, joined a WhatsApp group where dozens of enthusiasts (mostly focused on equestrian sport and horse health) share their daily experiences with the KLOUD, and subsequently became an affiliate of the Centropix organisation for this KLOUD within the human domain (see centropix.eu/sidovandermeulen).

Why your circulation is decisive for vitality

A smooth, well-functioning circulation ensures that oxygen and nutrients reach everywhere in the body where they're needed — and that waste products are removed. As we get older, the elasticity of blood vessels can decrease, which affects energy, recovery and overall wellbeing. Maintaining a healthy circulation is therefore one of the pillars of vital ageing.

Electromagnetic field therapy (EMF therapy, also known as PEMF) is a technology that has been researched and applied for decades as a method to stimulate body cells via weak electromagnetic signals. The idea behind it: cells communicate and function partly via electrical and magnetic signals, and targeted field therapy can support that process.

The device: The Magical KLOUD — the Centropix KLOUD

Centropix KLOUD+ — Where science meets vitality

The Centropix KLOUDAll-in price: €3,320 (incl. tax) is a portable PEMF device (Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field device), developed by the German scientist Prof. Dr. Wolf Kafka — one of the pioneers of PEMF technology, who with the KLOUD went a few essential steps further; think of it as the further development from PEMF to PEMA (Pulsed Electro Magnetic Activation). The device is foldable and light, and is operated via an app, letting you choose between different programmes such as Relax, Balance, Energize, Synchronize and Transform.

According to Dr. Kafka and the manufacturer, the KLOUD activates molecules in the body via pulsed electromagnetic fields, with the aim of restoring natural balance and optimising bodily functions — the stated effects include: more energy, better sleep, improved mental clarity and support for recovery and vitality.

Please note: these are the manufacturer's own claims. As with any form of field therapy: the experienced effects are personal, and Centropix is not a substitute for any medical treatment. Always consult a doctor before using a device if you have existing health complaints.

How exactly does this work for your blood vessels?

In summary: to understand what the Centropix KLOUD does for us boomers, you need to realise that the pulsed electromagnetic frequency patterns the KLOUD emits in various modalities (the programmes) give the molecules — read: the blood cells and red blood corpuscles — in our vascular system a boost. That's especially important for the small capillaries. Spectacular microscopic video footage of this can be seen on the Centropix website. The improved flow, particularly in the peripheral vessels, ensures that necessary nutrients are delivered and waste products are cleared right there on the spot.

You should also know that the effects of a single 15-minute session on the KLOUD continue working in the body for eight hours. Prof. Kafka calls this the cascade effect or domino effect of electromagnetic activation. Comparable to a car stuck in the mud just before the top of a hill: it just needs a little push, and once past the highest point it carries on by itself.

The real work happens in the capillary vessels: that's where the small secondary roads are, along which the transport cells distribute their goods — analogous to the increasingly fine-meshed logistics network of our supermarkets. In the main veins, traffic flows well. But the 10-tonne trucks come off the motorway and head into the cities via secondary roads, having to make their way through countless smaller streets and lanes. That's where the trucks carrying nutrients get unloaded. We pick them up in the little shops. And in the opposite direction, it's not just about the supply of building materials, but also about removing waste products.

The video footage on the Centropix website shows how red blood cells sometimes clump together and stagnate. We see a blood vessel with a side branch where the blood is meant to take the turn. At some point that doesn't work, or works only sluggishly. And what does the KLOUD do? In one word: unstick it. In equestrian sport, where horses pick up countless injuries, their owners are happy about this. If the KLOUD can speed up blood flow, you naturally get faster wound healing. The same goes for undoing blood clots and letting red and white blood cells take the right turn again and penetrate the capillaries.

So one or two sessions a day can already make a substantial difference. I don't see why what apparently helps sensitive horses perform better couldn't do just as much for us, boomers getting on in years. In my view, we're only at the dawn of many more great discoveries in this regard.

Please note: this too is my personal interpretation of Prof. Kafka's explanation and the footage on the Centropix website — not independent scientific proof. See it as an illustrative way of understanding what happens according to the manufacturer, not as a medical guarantee.
