Chapter 1

Water — Carrier of Life

1.1

Water: the carrier of life

Our bodies consist for a large part of water — in adults roughly 55 to 60 percent. Every cell, every process, every function in our body depends on water as a means of transport: it carries nutrients to cells, removes waste products, and keeps our metabolism going. Water is, literally, the carrier of life ("Carrier of Life").

But not all water is equal. The structure, purity and "vitality" of water — how the body absorbs and uses it — has long been the subject of scientific and alternative research. More and more health-conscious people are therefore looking not just at what they drink, but also at the quality and energetic state of their water.

1.2

The Gaia Aqua Water Vitalizer

Gaia Aqua makes water vitalizers that let tap water flow past crystals, gemstones and rock formations, combined with shapes from sacred geometry. The water is split into multiple substreams in the process, to maximise contact with this vitalizing medium. According to the manufacturer, this produces water with a stable hexagonal structure that tastes softer and that the body recognises and absorbs more easily — comparable to natural spring water.

There are several versions: a tap vitalizer (compact, fitted directly to the tap), a whole-house vitalizer (installed behind the water meter), and variants for central-heating systems and swimming pools.

Please note: these are the manufacturer's own claims; they concern energetic, non-medical claims that are not backed by regular scientific research. A water vitalizer is therefore not a substitute for regular water purification or medical advice — the experienced effects are personal.

My experience

An equally great mystery, about which I could probably reveal more — via quantum mechanics — than is appropriate here, concerns the wondrous properties of water. In 2002 it was Princess Irene who, with slides and her personal experiences, introduced me to the life's work of Masaru Emoto, who managed to demonstrate — conclusively and spectacularly — that the most ordinary substance, in the sense of the most common element on earth, namely WATER, possesses an improbably large and mysterious memory. Water energetically stores all the energies and qualities it comes into contact with, with the arrangement of H₂O molecules in unique so-called water clusters functioning as an information carrier.

Particularly impressive are Emoto's experiments in which speaking to water, or influencing it with music (bear in mind that we humans consist of 55 to 60% water molecules ourselves), results in visible effects. He froze this water and then photographed the ice crystals visible under a microscope. The hexagonal (six-sided) structure so characteristic of ice crystals as a result takes on grotesque forms: negative and aggressive information results in hideous images, while positive information results in images of great beauty.

In engineer Gert Boontjes (1950–2020) I then found the man who understood all this, and its implications, very deeply, and who had therefore decided to make it his life's work to restore water to its original neutral state. A neutral state in which it once again naturally performs its task as the bringer of vitality and life (Water, Carrier of Life). Gert had found a small community of kindred spirits in Austria: highly dedicated, principled and skilled engineers who had developed a vitalizer in all kinds of sizes and applications (depending on the application and the corresponding pipe diameters: think of food industries, growers, swimming pools and water utilities, but also environmentally conscious households), all of which had the sole task of resetting water back to its original neutral state and properties. That is to say: freeing water from all the informational burden it picks up along the way in our rivers and canals through chemical pollution, and afterwards in our pipe systems and so-called "purification procedures", where it is indeed filtered but not freed of informational burden. (Think also of electrosmog and the countless sources of radiation in our industrialised environment, and of all the information residues of medicines that, despite mechanical filtering, still end up in our sewage and drinking water systems.)

Together we travelled through the Netherlands in Gert's Land Rover to tell small groups of interested people about revitalising water and to let them experience it on the spot in countless experiments. Sometimes with the help of their pets: these turned out, intuitively, to consistently show a strong preference for water that had just flowed through our Gaia Aqua Vitalizer. With animals you can't say this is the result of suggestion or mental influence from outside. It was very convincing for almost everyone, though not immediately fully understandable even with our own common sense.

I sold the Gaia Aqua water vitalizer to all my colleagues and contacts through my small business Natural Water, alongside my work as an innovation consultant and management coach, and Gert sold the same vitalizer through his company Gaia Aqua until his death in 2020. He did this full-time, gave lectures and visited trade fairs, wrote articles etc., while I did it part-time on the side.

After Gaia Aqua ran on a low flame for a while after 2020, Rosmarijne Boontjes — Gert's daughter, who was practically raised on all of this — breathed new life into Gaia Aqua, and I help her wherever I can with customers, including through this channel. The current Gaia Aqua website is an interesting source of information for anyone interested in a sustainable and wholesome life, including through the responsible use of something as natural as the daily intake and use of water the way it was originally intended. A BoomersDelight through and through.
